Sydney Flat Pack Joinery is a premium flat-pack joinery supplier and installer serving residential and commercial clients across Sydney. The business required more than a standard online store — they needed a sophisticated eCommerce platform capable of handling custom product specifications, dynamic price calculation, and automated order data export to integrate with their existing machine design workflow. The defining feature of this build is a fully bespoke product pricing engine. Unlike standard eCommerce stores where products have fixed prices, Sydney Flat Pack Joinery customers enter their own specifications — dimensions, materials, configuration — and the website calculates the price in real time based on a custom formula assigned to each product. We built this calculation logic from scratch within WooCommerce, giving the business the ability to assign individual pricing formulas per product and allowing customers to receive an accurate quote instantly without needing to call or email for a custom price.
We integrated both PayPal and Stripe as payment gateways, giving customers a choice of payment method at checkout. On behalf of the client, we handled the full setup process — merchant account registration, identity verification, and bank account linking — so the business was ready to accept online payments from day one without any technical overhead on their side.
Sydney Flat Pack Joinery operates an existing machine design system that drives their production workflow. To bridge the gap between the online store and the production floor, we built a custom WooCommerce order export that generates CSV files containing only the specific order fields required by their machine system. Each time a customer completes a purchase, the order data is stored in the WordPress admin and an automated email is dispatched to the relevant team member with the CSV attached — eliminating manual data re-entry and keeping the production workflow running without interruption.
The entire platform is fully responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile. For a joinery supplier serving tradespeople and builders who frequently browse on-site from mobile devices, seamless performance across all screen sizes was a non-negotiable requirement built into every page and the product calculator interface.
